Cyprus Anti-Drugs Council (CAC)

The Cyprus Anti-Drugs Council, since year 2000, is the supreme state coordinating and regulatory authority in the field of substance use, aiming at demand reduction (prevention, treatment, social reintegration, harm reduction), supply reduction, as well as the epidemiological monitoring of the drug situation in the country.

The CAC is generally responsible for the drafting of the national strategy and action plan on drugs and other psychoactive substances, as well as the promotion, monitoring and control of its implementation.
